MAS NEWSLETTER FOR FIXERS SEPTMEBER 1990 A CHANGE FOR THE BETTER As you probably know we have had a waiting list to join the diary service for a year now. We have up to now resisted the pressure on us to expand in order to avoid the overloading the system and staff. Under those circumstances the quality of the service would clearly have been unaffected. However we have now solved the problem of expansion whilst retaining the small company personal service we have for so long maintained. Here's how it will work. Two smaller diary services instead of one We will as from October 1st have two smaller services running in parallel from her instead of one:- The String and Harp Service - Specialising in strings and harps only. The Woodwind, Brass and Percussion Service - specialising in everything other than strings and harps. Each service will have its own dedicated staffing structure. On top of this there will be a floating support member of staff whose job it will be to pick up calls on either diary system depending on where the demand is. We are currently interviewing and training the extra staff as needed. The hours of the service will remain the same - 8am to Midnight seven days a week. Of course Isobel will still remain overall Manager of the Diary Services. HOW WILL IT AFFECT YOU - THE FIXER NEW IMPROVED SERVICE 0306 880669 will become exclusive to fixers only and will be able to access either diary service at will. The likely hood of obtaining the engaged tone will become virtually nil as the lines will be for your exclusive use. The emergency line for fixers will still be available but please only for dire emergencys and only after trying exclusive lines on 880669. A request from us to you We to help us run the system smoothly could you please arrange your fixing in blocks of Strings and Harps Wind, Brass and percussion etc This will help avoid and unnecessary delays when switching from one service to another and will be a great help to us. Have you got a fax If you have a fax machine why not use it to make booking with us or let us use yours to confirm the answers to your enquiries. Many fixers are now using the system very successfully. There is no mistaking the written word! Fax machine are now so cheap you may fell it is worth considering. Our business services can supply a Canon 80 for instance at £399.00 + VAT or sometimes less depending on special offers at the time. Call and See us - The entryphone works now! Please call in and see us anytime (between 8am and midnight!) and day. It is really good to have the personal contact wherever possible. The door entryphone will be working again by the time you get this. I think its been out of order for nearly two years now. Whoops!
