MAS operates a rotational queuing system on the phone lines so that
you never get the engaged tone. Because we do
not use a recorded message
to explain that you are being held in a queue, this means
that you are not charged for the call until we answer.
|

|
|
Please let the phone ring until a diary operator is free
to pick up the call. If you have to
wait for any length of time it simply means we are busy and we will be with
you as quickly as possible. We may
just be booking you for some work on another line!

Sad News
Sadly, Isobel is leaving the diary. Having been with MAS for many years she
has decided to resign from her post as manager. She is, however, staying with us
part-time for a while in order to hand over her position. We also said a fond farewell to Beth at
the beginning of April. She is now
working as Administrator for SPNM.
We wish both Isobel and Beth good luck for the future.
Congratulations
Tania and Abbie have
been appointed as joint managers effective from the beginning of May.
Welcome
We would like to welcome four new members to
the diary team. You may have already spoken to Emily who joined us in
February. She previously worked in

has worked for the BBC for many years and is also a piano teacher. Nichola has a
music degree from City University and is a keen musician. Lauren will start at the beginning of
June. She has been working for the
Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival after graduating with a BMus from
Huddersfield University.

A quote from an
MAS client who due to a last minute booking had to drop what she was doing,
go home and collect her instrument then travel to the south coast in less
than three hours through rush hour traffic.
|
|
Yet again the
last quarter has seen MAS going to great lengths to ensure that their
clients don’t lose work. It is our
policy particularly when dealing with last minute work to get in touch with
you wherever you are and believe us that has led us to track down clients
to some very strange places indeed!
|
HELP US TO HELP YOU
Fixers want quick
answers and are not prepared to wait when booking last minute work. In order for us to be able to do this your
diary needs to be up to date with contact numbers if you are out of town,
complete schedules and any details of work you have been booked for directly

We have yet to appoint a new website manager so there
is currently a backlog of updates for the website that haven’t been done.
We are dealing with these as quickly as possible and are grateful to John Georgiadis for all his help at this time.
All CV’s that are sent in for our quarterly publication
are automatically put on the internet.
If you do not want yours to appear please let us know.
Our ever changing website (at www.maslink.co.uk) continues to be
popular as we receive between 300 and 900 hits a day! If you would like your photo to be
included with your full CV just send us a photo which is larger than
passport size so that we can scan it in. We also offer free links to many related sites and even to your e-mail address.

The response
to keyboard connection has been so positive that it has led us to double
our client base since its launch in December.
Demand for
our keyboard players is coming from a variety of major opera companies, orchestras,
cruise lines, agents, choral societies and music colleges. As our players all have their own
particular areas of expertise we are able to quickly find someone who
specialises in the relevant area.
If your
students or yourself need an experienced accompanist please call Keyboard
Connection on 01306 500033.
