Instrument Insurance

...how MAS can benefit you!

Everywhere you look there are adverts promising cheaper rates on your household or car insurance, offering you a free gift with every quote.  Musical instrument insurance does not receive the same treatment, so finding good cover at a reasonable price can be a challenge

Specialist policies can cover a wide range of circumstances, some of which have a ‘no-fuss’ claims settlement policy that  takes the hassle out of a difficult time for any professional musician.

These types of policies are dedicated to insuring musical instruments that cover you for unrestricted professional use, accidental damage, theft from a classroom or concert hall, and usually work closely with dealers and the police in order to increase the chance of recovering instruments if lost or stolen.

Allianz Cornhill has been providing musicians with insurance for over 50 years, it doesn’t matter if you are an existing British Reserve or Allianz Cornhill customer, or if you are arranging insurance for the first time Just call them on 0870 2400 303 and quote the reference ‘TMAS’ to have an advisor describe the benefits on offer.

To arrange a new policy with Allianz Cornhill, call 0870 2400 303 quoting reference ‘TMAS’. You can also go to the MAS website, http://www.maslink.co.uk and follow the Allianz Cornhill links.

If you are an existing policy holder, call 0870 2400 303 and quote reference ‘TMAS’ – you will be able to keep your existing policy, but have the ‘TMAS’ benefits described to you in detail.

Discovering the highly original musical designs by friend and composer Dmitri Smirnov, we decided they would look good on T-Shirts and set up Ridiculous Overheads (http://www.ridiculousoverheads.com) to market these. We aim to continuously expand both the range of images ( which now include sketches of composers by Philip Firsov ) and also the range of our garment materials, which now include T and Polo Shirts with 100% cotton interior. We can also print   garments with your own designs, including photographs, at very competitive rates.

It is with great sorrow that we have to announce the death of Julian Cummings (violin),a longstanding client of MAS.

Julian was an associate member of the LSO between 1966 - 1972. After this he joined the RPO, remaining a dedicated member for 32 years. He cared deeply for his colleagues, evident in his custody of the social and benevolent fund. A keen chamber player, Julian was a member of several quartets (including the Edinburgh string quartet resident at Edinburgh University from 1985) and particularly enjoyed working with chamber groups including the English Chamber Orchestra and the City of London Sinfonia in a freelance capacity. A popular player and person, he will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. His wife Naomi, and their two children Naomi and Benjamin, would like to extend their thanks for all the support they have received throughout this difficult time.
