Dear Friend,

I have been a student in the excellent Morley College Drama Department for 2 years. Students and staff have been dismayed to learn that the Academic Board has decided to close the Department after 120 years ! The future of the Studio Theatre remains a mystery with rumours ranging from conversion into offices to it being allowed to remain unused.

In addition to providing tangible and rich gains in people's lives, the department has had  links with other local centres of excellence including The Young Vic, The Old Vic, The Globe and establishments helping the homeless (Streets Alive, Cardboard Citizens, Refugee Council etc.)

There is a Campaign running to raise awareness and save the Department.
