With the help of a Countess of Munster scholarship she undertook a postgraduate course at the Royal College of Music in London, winning an Exhibition and the Joy Boughton and Hilda Anderson Deane oboe prizes. As a founder member of 'Pipers 3' oboe trio, Jessica has performed in all kinds of venues, had numerous competition successes, broadcast on Radios 3 and 4 and has recorded a CD "Intercession". In 1998 Jessica was appointed Principal Cor Anglais with the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra. Returning to the UK in 2001, Jessica now plays and records with major orchestras across the country which this year has included the Bournemouth Symphony, Royal Philharmonic, City of Oxford, Royal Scottish National, English and Irish Chamber Orchestras as well as the Britten and City of London Sinfonias and the BBC National Orchestra of Wales. In March 2006, Jessica was the Cor Anglais soloist in the premiere of Shane Cullinan's "The Pieta", collaborating with actress Frances Barber, the recording of which is due for imminent commercial release. Jessica has also recorded the grade 3 and 7 repertoire for the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music.
