Previously a member of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and the Royal Scottish National Orchestra Daniel enjoys a career performing and teaching throughout the world.

     Daniel has worked with many ensembles performing in principal positions in Orchestras such as: BBC Scottish Symphony, Bournemouth Symphony, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, BBC Concert Orchestra and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Daniel is currently principal 2nd of the London Concert Orchestra and leads ensembles such as the Brighton Philharmonic, London concertante and the London Gala Orchestra. In addition Daniel has worked with the London Philharmonic, Philharmonia, BBC Symphony, London Sinfonietta, Scottish Ensemble and Glyndebourne Festival and Touring Opera.

     Daniel has performed on many Film soundtracks such as Lord of the Rings, Ronin, Blue Planet and Ladies in Lavender. In 2008 Daniel was asked to lead the new musical Marguerite, at the Haymarket Theatre, London.

     As a soloist and chamber musician Daniel has performed at the Wigmore Hall(London), Carnegie Hall(New York), Sheldonian Room(Oxford)  and Queen Elizabeth Hall(London). Festivals include Brighton, Lichfield, Aix-en-Provence and Cheltenham. Recent solo performances have taken him to Spain, Canada, France and India. Daniel has made broadcasts for BBC radio, Canada and Russian radio and TV.

     Daniel regularly collaborates with the composer and multi-instrumentalist Tunde Jegede. This has resulted in many performances and recordings, the last of which,’Nomad’, was released in 2007.

     Daniel studied as a scholer at the Purcell School of Music, Royal Northern College

of Music and the Royal Conservatory of Music(Canada). His violin teachers have included Yossi Zivoni, Yfrah Neaman and Lorand Fenyves. He studied chamber music with, Leon Fleisher, Jamie Laredo and Nick Roth.

     Daniel is also an enthusiastic teacher and coach. Currently Head of Strings at Stowe School  Violin tutor at Lancing College and Queen’s College, Oxford. Daniel works with many Youth Orchestras nationally and internationally.

     In 2002 Daniel was invited to judge the Sri Lanka Music Competition in Colombo.

   In 2008 Daniel was asked to adjudicated the prestigious Violin Competition at the Royal College of Music(London). Daniel has also been on the panel for the ARCM diplomas at the Royal College of Music.

     Daniel is co-founder and artistic director of the Alfriston Summer Music Festival in Sussex, England. The festival regularly features artists such as Dame Felicity Lott, Lei-Wei and Karine Georgian.
